Ayurveda Consultation

An Ayurvedic consultation is a holistic process that assesses an individual's health and well-being, considering their physical, mental, and emotional state. It involves a comprehensive evaluation of lifestyle, diet, and history to identify imbalances and create personalized recommendations for restoring balance and promoting health.

Shirodhara

Shirodhara is an Ayurvedic therapy where a continuous stream of warm oil (or other liquid) is poured onto the forehead, specifically the "third eye" area (ajna chakra). According to Ayurveda, this practice is believed to calm the nervous system, balance the mind and body, and promote relaxation and rejuvenation.

Sound Bath

A sound bath is a meditative experience where participants are enveloped in resonant sounds, often from instruments like singing bowls, gongs, and chimes, to facilitate relaxation and a meditative state. Rather than a traditional musical composition, the sounds create a soothing vibration that can lead to a sense of calm, stress reduction, and even physical benefits.

Reiki

Reiki is a Japanese healing technique that uses gentle hand placement to help restore balance and harmony in the body and mind. It's based on the idea that a universal life force energy can be channeled to promote healing and well-being.

Greetings! I’m Susan Lanigan, a certified Ayurvedic Practitioner, Yoga Alliance CYT200 Yoga Instructor, Certified Pilates Instructor, and a Reiki Practitioner at levels 1, 2, and Master. By integrating these practices, as well as Sound Healing and Yoga Nidra, to harness the transformative power of sound for my clients. Currently, I am pursuing massage therapy and anticipate offering this service in the fall of 2025, with reflexology and lymphatic massage as my areas of specialization. Throughout my life, managing sciatica has been greatly alleviated by Yoga, Ayurveda, and Pilates, enabling me to maintain a profound connection with my body, mind, and soul. My objective is to share the benefits of Yoga with my community, emphasizing empathy, inclusivity, and gratitude.
"For those who have an intense urge for Spirit and Wisdom, it sits near them, waiting."

Typically you can wear anything that stretches and allows for movement. Shoes are taken off for yoga along with socks, but for pilates if you wish to leave your tennis shoes on that's fine.
